The currency will change to euros
For travelers getting to the archaeological site on their own, there is an admission fee to enter Chichen Itza. The fee varies according to national and international visitors, over age and under age. If you wish to bring a GoPro or professional camera, there is also a fee for this.
What you will be paying for is the entrance per se, paid to the Institute of History and Anthropology of Mexico (INAH), and a tax for the Yucatan Ministry of Culture.
Free admission on Sundays for Mexican citizens and foreigners living in Mexico (required ID).
If you want to enjoy and amazing light and sound show projected in the main pyramid of Chichen Itza, there is a different fee from the regular.
Chichen Itza is open from Monday to Sunday, from 8:00 to 17:00.
Due to current global situation, Chichen Itza is limiting the number of visitors per day to 3,000. The latest access is at 16:00.
